A.C. Hafer daybook and miscellany, 1890-1897.

Daybook (1892-1897) kept by Anson C. Hafer, a Stillwater, Minnesota cigar manufacturer. Recorded in the volume are various financial transactions, including the sale of cigars to Stillwater saloon keepers and to various other parties. There is also a notice of dissolution of Hafer and Lewis (1890), a cigar manufacturing firm which included both Hafer and Frank D. Lewis, and which had operations at Long Prairie and at Sauk Centre, Minnesota. Lewis evidently was not a part of the Stillwater venture.
